Metro Nashville Madison Police Precinct & Crime Lab - Nashville, Tennessee

The Metro Nashville Police Crime Lab facility was comprised of forensic laboratories, vehicle forensic stations, ballistics range, and an adjacent police precinct. Laboratories can present a challenge to commissioning because of the critical nature of maintaining exhaust airflow throughout the operation of the building. Emergency power systems were also critical to test and verify functionality.   

FD developed a trend report for this project that captured data from the building automation system that could depict the critical room pressure through operations of exhaust hood activity (on/off/sash door position); HVAC operation (heating, cooling, economizer), and emergency power transitions. Using our trending programs, we were able to verify that critical minimum setpoints for room pressure were being maintained.
