Commissioning of the control valves for reheat terminal units found that the operation was causing discharge air temperatures to rapidly fluctuate between 50° F and 90° F. Our experience told us that this disparity in supply air temperatures causes complaints from patients and surgeons who are generally located directly below supply diffusers. By correcting the valve operation, the hospital potentially avoided patient dissatisfaction and surgeon complaints.
